SM-Tour I 2012: Siltamäki, Helsinki

The Finnish Flying Disc Association would like to invite you to the Finnish Championship Tour One. The Tour is a tournament format for the Finnish National Championship Series. With this decision to open up the Finnish national competition, the Finnish Flying Disc Association is looking to attract teams from the neighbouring countries to play against the best ultimate teams in Finland, and to further increase the level of competition.

Date: June 9-10, 2012 (2 days)

Venue: Siltamäen liikuntapuisto / Siltamäki sports park (the same place as EUCR in 2010). Address: Pallomäentie 14 00740 Helsinki.

Game schedule: Saturday 9-19 (approx.), Sunday 8-17 (approx.). Target is to get 5-7 games for each team.
(We can adjust the schedule so that people travelling on Saturday have their first games as late as possible. Just be sure to inform us on time!)

Format: We can host up to 15 open teams and 8-10 women’s. The basic format will be a group stage followed by quarters and placement games. The group stage and possible quarters will be played on Saturday and the rest of the games on Sunday. The games will be played till 15 points. Playing time is 75 minutes, halftime cap 40 minutes. Otherwise latest (pub. 2/2012) WFDF appendix for Ultimate rules is followed. There is no requirement to win by a margin of two goals.

Payment deadline: May 27, 2012
There will be a refund of only 50% of fees for cancellations after May 27, 2012. There will be no refund of fees after Jun 3, 2012.

If you would like to camp, please contact the Rastila camping area for tent and cabin accommodation. Rastila Camping Area is located in eastern Helsinki, just next to the Rastila metro station (17 min from the city centre).
